The Mark Morris Monarchs got by the visiting Battle Ground Tigers softball squad by a count of 14-13 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Monarchs (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Woodland (Woodland, WA). The Beavers go into the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Woodland nudged Fort Vancouver (Vancouver, WA), 20-10, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers now sport a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Prairie for a non-league battle on Friday, April 29. Battle Ground will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 19-6 non-league win over Mark Morris (Longview, WA). The Falcons record now stands at 4-2.
