The Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) soccer nipped the host Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA), 2-1 in Friday's league bout.
With the victory, Riverbend moves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Bears travel to Colonial Forge (Stafford, VA) to battle the Eagles in a Commonwealth bout on Friday, May 6. The Eagles enter the bout with a record of 10-3.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Brooke Point Black Hawks (Stafford, VA) in a Commonwealth bout, on Tuesday, May 3. Massaponax will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Black Hawks enter the bout with a 3-6 record after their 1-1 league Stafford (Falmouth, VA).
