Bay Shore Marauders (Bay Shore, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lindenhurst Bulldogs (Lindenhurst, NY), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Marauders now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Commack for a Section 11 AA-2 challenge on Monday, May 2. Bay Shore will face a Cougars squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to East Islip (Islip Terrace, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Lindenhurst falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Ward Melville (East Setauket, NY) to face the Patriots in a Section 11 AA-1 challenge on Monday, May 2. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 1-11. Ward Melville lost 9-2 in their recent league challenge against Connetquot (Bohemia, NY)
