Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mira Mesa Marauders (San Diego, CA), 10-5 in a league challenge.

The Chieftains now own a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they host Point Loma for a City Eastern challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Clairemont will battle a Pointers squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA). The Pointers record now stands at 6-18.

With the loss, Mira Mesa falls to 3-20 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to Academy of Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA) to battle the Pilots in a City Eastern game on Wednesday, May 4. The Pilots come into the game with a record of 15-7. Academy of Our Lady of Peace won 7-4 in their recent league game against Canyon Hills (San Diego, CA)
