Munford Lions (Munford, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 14-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Handley for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. Munford will face a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Ranburne (Ranburne, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 19-7.

With the loss, Cleburne County falls to 13-10 on the campaign.
