The Coastal Academy Stingrays softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting St. Joseph Academy Crusaders to 9 in the Stingrays non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Coastal Academy moves its record to 4-11 on the year. The Stingrays travel to Francis Parker (San Diego, CA) to play the Lancers in a Coastal game on Thursday, May 5. The Lancers come into the game with a record of 2-11. Francis Parker lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA)

In their next game, the Crusaders play the Calvary Christian Academy Royal Knights (Chula Vista, CA) in a Citrus game, on Monday, May 2. St. Joseph Academy will attempt to move on its 2-5 season record. The Royal Knights come into the game with a 7-2 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Hoover (San Diego, CA).
