Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Curtis Vikings (University Place, WA), 14-5 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Graham-Kapowsin for a 4A South Puget Sound challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Sumner will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 13-4 league win over Rogers (Puyallup, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Curtis falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Vikings host Olympia (Olympia, WA) to battle the Bears in a 4A South Puget Sound challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 11-2. Olympia lost 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Puyallup (Puyallup, WA)
