The Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) softball nipped the visiting Ridgedale Rockets (Morral, OH), 3-2 in Friday's league bout.

The Comets (10-2) will now prepare for their bout against Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH). The Rams go into the Northwest Central bout with a 8-8 record.

The Rockets now possess a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mansfield Christian for a non-league bout on Saturday, April 30.
