The Narragansett Mariners the visiting Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights softball squad by a count of 6-3 in Friday's league battle.

The Mariners (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders go into the Division 2 A battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Prout was routed by Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI), 8-2, in a league battle.

The Scarlet Knights now sport a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Barrington for a Division 2 A battle on Tuesday, May 3. Exeter-West Greenwich will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Westerly (Westerly, RI). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
