In Friday's non-league contest, the Katy Tigers (Katy, TX) softball team overwhelmed the host Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX), by a margin of 17-2.

With the triumph, Katy moves its record to 25-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX) to play the Bobcats in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 7. The Bobcats come into the contest with a record of 16-11. Cy-Fair won 14-1 in their recent non-league contest against Lamar (Houston, TX)
