Glenbard North Panthers (Carol Stream, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers (Wheaton, IL), 5-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leyden for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30. Glenbard North will face a Eagles squad coming off a 16-3 league win over Proviso East (Maywood, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Wheaton-Warrenville South falls to 10-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL) to face the North Stars in a DuKane challenge on Monday, May 2. The North Stars enter the challenge with a record of 11-2. St. Charles North won 17-2 in their recent league challenge against Batavia (Batavia, IL)
