Troy Flying Horses (Troy, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Guilderland Flying Dutchman (Guilderland Center, NY), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Flying Horses now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Shenendehowa for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Monday, May 2. Troy will battle a Plainsmen squad coming off a 9-5 league win over Columbia (East Greenbush, NY). The Plainsmen record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Guilderland falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Flying dutchman host Shaker (Latham, NY) to battle the Bison in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Wednesday, May 4. The Bison enter the challenge with a record of 4-8.
