Monroe Bearcats (Monroe, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks (Marysville, WA), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shorewood for a 2A/3A Wesco challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Monroe will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Cascade (Everett, WA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Marysville-Pilchuck falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Tomahawks host Snohomish (Snohomish, WA) to battle the Panthers in a 2A/3A Wesco challenge on Monday, May 2. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Snohomish won 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Lynnwood (Bothell, WA)
