Kentucky High School Softball - Monroe County holds off Metcalfe County

The Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) softball the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), 4-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Falcons (3-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Clinton County (Albany, KY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Clinton County by Todd County Central (Elkton, KY), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Metcalfe County falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Hornets host Barren County (Glasgow, KY) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 13-6.
