The Saugus Sachems softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Winthrop Vikings to 4 in the Sachems league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Saugus moves its record to 5-4 on the year. The Sachems travel to Melrose (Melrose, MA) to clash with the Red Raiders in a non-league game on Monday, May 2. The Red Raiders come into the game with a record of 4-5.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA) in a Northeast game, on Wednesday, May 4. Winthrop will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Falcons come into the game with a 5-5 record after their 11-6 league loss to Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA).
