St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host Bureau Valley for a Three Rivers East challenge on Monday, May 1. St. Bede will face a Storm squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Storm record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Amboy falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Clippers host Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL) to face the Missiles in a NUIC South challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Missiles enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Milledgeville lost 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Forreston (Forreston, IL)
