The Champaign Central Maroons softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Decatur Eisenhower Panthers to 1 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Champaign Central moves its record to 10-13 on the year. The Maroons host Danville (Danville, IL) to play the Vikings in a Big Twelve game on Tuesday, May 2. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 3-10. Danville lost 11-9 in their recent league game against Normal Community (Normal, IL)

In their next game, the Panthers play the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight game, on Tuesday, May 2. Decatur Eisenhower will attempt to move on its 4-15 season record. The Senators come into the game with a 17-3 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Taylorville (Taylorville, IL).
