Mira Monte Lions (Bakersfield, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Foothill Trojans (Bakersfield, CA), 24-11 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arvin for a South Yosemite Horizon challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Mira Monte will battle a Bears squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Tehachapi (Tehachapi, CA). The Bears record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Foothill falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Trojans host Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA) to battle the Bulldogs in a South Yosemite Horizon challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 14-6. Golden Valley won 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against West (Bakersfield, CA)
