The Phoenix Pirates softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Klamath Union Pelicans to 1 in the Pirates league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Phoenix moves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Pirates host Henley (Klamath Falls, OR) to play the Hornets in a 4A Skyline game on Wednesday, May 10. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 0-2.

In their next game, the Pelicans play the Mazama Vikings (Klamath Falls, OR) in a 4A Skyline game, on Wednesday, May 3. Klamath Union will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 0-6 record after their 14-13 league loss to Hidden Valley (Grants Pass, OR).
