Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) and the host Serena Huskers (Serena, IL), witnessed Marquette's softball squad tip Serena by a count of 12-7.

The Crusaders now sport a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Midland for a Tri-County match on Tuesday, May 2. Marquette will face a Timberwolves squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to Seneca (Seneca, IL). The Timberwolves record now stands at 0-21.

With the loss, Serena moves to 14-5 on the season. The Huskers host Newark (Newark, IL) to face the Norsemen in a Little Ten match on Monday, May 1. The Norsemen go into the match with a record of 21-1. Newark won 13-3 in their recent league match against Somonauk (Somonauk, IL)
