Northside Rams (Northport, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Winfield Pirates (Winfield, AL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 29-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sumiton Christian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. Northside will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 14-17.

With the loss, Winfield drops to 28-12 on the year.
