Spectators at Monday's league battle between the Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV) and the visiting Calhoun Red Devils (Mt. Zion, WV), saw Wirt County's baseball squad knock off Calhoun by a count of 12-2.

Coming up next, the Tigers play the St. Marys Blue Devils (St. Marys, WV) in a Little Kanawha battle, on Tuesday, April 30. Wirt County will attempt to advance on its 2-15 season record. The Blue Devils go into the match with a 9-7 record after their 13-3 league win over South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV).

The Red Devils (8-15) will now prepare for their match against Roane County (Spencer, WV). The Raiders go into the Little Kanawha match with a 9-9 record. In their last match, Roane County was overwhelmed by South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV), 6-5, in a league match.
