With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 8-14 on the season. The Patriots travel to Providence (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 30. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 20-3. Providence won 7-4 in their recent league test against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

With the defeat, East Mecklenburg falls to 15-10 on the season.
