Laquey Hornets (Laquey, MO) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Eugene Eagles (Eugene, MO), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets face the Greenwood Blue Jays (Springfield, MO) in a Class 1 District 3 challenge, on Wednesday, May 1. Laquey will attempt to better on its 15-3 season record. The Blue Jays enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 7-0 league win over Liberty (Mountain View, MO).

The Eagles now have a 6-14 record. They take the field next when they host California for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Eugene will face a Pintos team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Fatima (Westphalia, MO). The Pintos record now stands at 0-17.
