Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cavaliers confront the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge, on Tuesday, April 30. Southern Lee will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 5-1 league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC).

The Jets now have a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bartlett Yancey for a Mid-Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Jordan-Matthews will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 8-3 league loss to Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-10.
