Next, the Cougars confront the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge, on Wednesday, May 1. Mountain Heritage will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 13-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC).

The Mountaineers now possess a 0-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to NCSSM: Morganton for a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Mitchell will confront a team coming off a 3-1 league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC). The record now stands at 10-4.
