Midview Middies (Grafton, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Avon Eagles (Avon, OH), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Middies now own a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Olmsted Falls for a Southwestern challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Midview will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 13-5 league win over Avon Lake (Avon Lake, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Avon falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Steele (Amherst, OH) to battle the Comets in a Southwestern challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 16-5. Steele lost 1-0 in their recent league challenge against North Ridgeville (North Ridgeville, OH)
