Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoover for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Clay County will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 21-2.

With the loss, Braxton County falls to 3-21 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Lewis County (Weston, WV) to battle the Minutemen in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Minutemen enter the challenge with a record of 18-5. Lewis County won 12-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Elkins (Elkins, WV)
