Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Thunderbolts now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Central for a Division 3 challenge on Friday, May 3. Cranston East will face a Knights squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Tiverton (Tiverton, RI). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Mount St. Charles Academy falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mounties travel to Rogers (Newport, RI) to face the Vikings in a Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Rogers won 17-7 in their recent league challenge against Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI)
