Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets (Wauzeka, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host De Soto Pirates (De Soto, WI), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they host Fennimore for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Wauzeka-Steuben will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 14-8 league win over Southwestern (Hazel Green, WI). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, De Soto falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Ithaca (Richland Center, WI) to face the Bulldogs in a Ridge & Valley challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 10-1. Ithaca won 20-0 in their recent non-league challenge against New Lisbon (New Lisbon, WI)
