DePaul Catholic Spartans (Wayne, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne Hills for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. DePaul Catholic will face a Patriots squad coming off a 13-8 league loss to West Milford (West Milford, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Lakeland Regional falls to 9-4 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to West Milford (West Milford, NJ) to face the Highlanders in a Big North - Independence challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a record of 9-6. West Milford won 13-8 in their recent league challenge against Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ)
