Doane Academy (Burlington, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Westampton Tech Panthers (Westampton, NJ), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host New Egypt for a BCSL - Patriot challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Doane Academy will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Florence Township Memorial (Florence, NJ). The Warriors record now stands at 8-6.

With the loss, Westampton Tech falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Holy Cross (Delran, NJ) to battle the Lancers in a BCSL - Patriot challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Holy Cross lost 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Haddon Township (Westmont, NJ)
