Kennedy Bears (Cheektowaga, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eden Raiders (Eden, NY), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host East Aurora for a Section 6 Erie County III challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Kennedy will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 6-4 non-league loss to Nichols (Buffalo, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Eden falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Raiders host Cleveland Hill (Cheektowaga, NY) to face the Golden Eagles in a Section 6 Erie County IV challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Cleveland Hill lost 17-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Cheektowaga (Cheektowaga, NY)
