Westview Wildcats (Portland, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Jesuit Crusaders (Portland, OR), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 18-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mountainside for a 6A Metro challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Westview will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Sunset (Portland, OR). The Mavericks record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Jesuit falls to 10-7 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Southridge (Beaverton, OR) to battle the Skyhawks in a 6A Metro challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Skyhawks enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Southridge won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against McMinnville (McMinnville, OR)
