The Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) softball routed the host Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH), 19-4 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Purple Riders (12-4) will now prepare for their bout against Cambridge (Cambridge, OH). The Bobcats go into the East Central Ohio bout with a 11-6 record. In their last bout, Cambridge was routed by Edison (Richmond, OH), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

The Jets now possess a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to St. Clairsville for a Ohio Valley Athletic AAAA bout on Wednesday, May 1. Union Local will confront a Red Devils squad coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to Toronto (Toronto, OH). The Red Devils record now stands at 1-21.
