Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Wendell Trojans (Wendell, ID) and the visiting Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID), witnessed Wendell's softball squad tip Melba by a count of 5-3.

The Trojans now sport a 11-11 record. They play next when they travel to Glenns Ferry for a non-league match on Thursday, May 2. Wendell will meet a Pilots squad coming off a 23-0 league win over Wilder (Wilder, ID). The Pilots record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, Melba moves to 10-9 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Marsing (Marsing, ID) to meet the Huskies in a 2A Western Idaho match on Wednesday, May 1. The Huskies go into the match with a record of 8-12. Marsing lost 10-3 in their recent league match against New Plymouth (New Plymouth, ID)
