Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), 11-8 in a league challenge.

The Wolves now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Niles North for a Central Suburban - North match on Tuesday, April 30. Niles West will face a Vikings squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Vernon Hills moves to 9-11 on the season. The Cougars travel to Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Wednesday, May 1. The Knights go into the match with a record of 3-15. Grayslake North lost 15-0 in their recent league match against Wauconda (Wauconda, IL)
