Stevenson Spartans (Livonia, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Plymouth Wildcats (Canton, MI), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walled Lake Northern for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Stevenson will battle a Knights squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Clarkston (Clarkston, MI). The Knights record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Plymouth falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Howell (Howell, MI) to battle the Highlanders in a Kensington Lakes - West challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Howell won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Petoskey (Petoskey, MI)
