Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they host Tarboro for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Southeast Halifax will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 21-0 league loss to Martin County (Williamston, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 1-14.

With the loss, Rocky Mount Prep falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Weldon (Weldon, NC) to battle the Chargers in a Tar Roanoke 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 10-1. Weldon won 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Warren County (Warrenton, NC)
