Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Salem Witches (Salem, MA), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Big Blue now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Danvers for a Northeast challenge on Wednesday, May 1.

With the loss, Salem falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Witches travel to Gloucester (Gloucester, MA) to battle the Fishermen in a Northeast challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Fishermen enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
