Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Terryville Kangaroos (Terryville, CT), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host New Milford for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Shepaug Valley will battle a Green Wave squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Bunnell (Stratford, CT). The Green Wave record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Terryville falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Kangaroos travel to Thomaston (Thomaston, CT) to battle the Bears in a Berkshire challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Thomaston won 16-2 in their recent league challenge against Gilbert (Winsted, CT)
