Illinois High School Baseball - Polo nips Ashton-Franklin Center

The Polo Marcos baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders to 9 in the Marcos league win on Tuesday.

The Marcos now own a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Ashton-Franklin Center for a Northwest Upstate Illini - East test on Thursday, May 1. Polo will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Annawan-Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 13-8.

With the defeat, Ashton-Franklin Center drops to 12-8 on the year. The Raiders host Annawan-Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL) to clash with the Titans in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 30. The Titans go into the test with a record of 13-7. Annawan-Wethersfield won 13-3 in their recent non-league test against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL)
