Illinois High School Baseball - Newman Central Catholic nips Princeton

The Newman Central Catholic Comets baseball team scored 3 runs and held the host Princeton Tigers to 2 in the Comets league win on Tuesday.

The Comets now own a 17-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mendota for a Three Rivers test on Thursday, May 1. Newman Central Catholic will play a Trojans team coming off a 13-3 league loss to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 7-10.

With the defeat, Princeton drops to 8-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Kewanee (Kewanee, IL) to play the Boilermakers in a Three Rivers test on Thursday, May 1. The Boilermakers go into the test with a record of 9-11. Kewanee won 19-3 in their recent league test against Princeton (Princeton, IL)
