The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls baseball team scored 24 runs and held the host Toms River South Indians to 5 in the Garnet Gulls non-league win on Tuesday.
The Garnet Gulls now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Barnegat for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 30. Point Pleasant Beach will play a Bengals team coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Brick Memorial (Brick, NJ). The Bengals record now stands at 6-7.
With the defeat, Toms River South drops to 8-5 on the year. The Indians travel to Lacey Township (Lanoka Harbor, NJ) to play the Lions in a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. The Lions go into the test with a record of 8-4. Lacey Township won 17-2 in their recent league test against Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ)
