The Stony Brook Bears baseball team scored 19 runs and held the visiting Putnam Science Academy to 0 in the Bears non-league win on Tuesday.
The Bears now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host Hill School for a non-league test on Saturday, May 3. Stony Brook will clash with a Rams team coming off a 5-4 league win over Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 9-2.
With the defeat, Putnam Science Academy drops to 7-7 on the year. The host Winchendon (Winchendon, MA) to play the Wapiti in a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. The Wapiti go into the game with a record of 10-6. Winchendon won 6-3 in their recent non-league game against Worcester Academy (Worcester, MA)
