The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) and the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), observed James River's softball team get by Floyd County by a tally of 8-7.

The Knights (11-4) will now prepare for their bout against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cavaliers go into the non-league bout with a 2-5 record.

In their next game, the Buffaloes clash with the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 2. Floyd County will attempt to advance on its 9-5 season record. The Blue Demons go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 7-3 non-league loss to Abingdon (Abingdon, VA).
