The Ashland Hornets softball team scored 30 runs and held the host Fort Fairfield Tigers to 1 in the Hornets league win on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Aroostook for a Class D North battle on Thursday, May 1. Ashland will confront a Panthers team coming off a 9-7 league win over Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Fort Fairfield moves to 0-1 on the season. The Tigers host Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME) to confront the Warriors in a non-league battle on Friday, May 2. The Warriors come into the battle with a record of 1-1. Fort Kent lost 20-8 in their recent non-league battle against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME)
