Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets (Roanoke Rapids, NC) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Bunn Wildcats (Bunn, NC), 5-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Roanoke Rapids improves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Southern Nash (Bailey, NC) to play the Firebirds in a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. The Firebirds enter the game with a record of 20-0. Southern Nash won 8-0 in their recent non-league game against Franklinton (Franklinton, NC)

The Wildcats now hold a 16-4 record.
