Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) boosters exited the stadium happy Tuesday as they observed their softball team get by the visiting Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM), 1-0 in a league bout.

The Cavemen/Cavegirls (18-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM). The Eagles go into the 5A District 4 bout with a 13-10 record. In their last bout, Hobbs tipped Clovis (Clovis, NM), 18-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Coyotes clash with the Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) in a 5A District 4 bout, on Friday, May 2. Roswell will attempt to advance on its 8-16 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-23 record after their 18-3 league loss to Hobbs (Hobbs, NM).
