The West Charlotte Lions softball team scored 10 runs and held the host Chambers Cougars to 6 in the Lions league win on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Mecklenburg for a Queen City 3A/4A battle on Thursday, May 1. West Charlotte will confront a Vikings team coming off a 18-6 league loss to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 10-7.

With the loss, Chambers moves to 6-10 on the season. The Cougars host Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Mavericks in a Queen City 3A/4A battle on Thursday, May 1. The Mavericks come into the battle with a record of 9-12. Mallard Creek won 17-2 in their recent league battle against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
